In August 2023, a San Bernardino jury delivered a landmark $11m verdict against the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for serious injuries caused to KTL’s client by a negligent deputy. This week the Judge upheld the jury’s verdict by denying the County’s attempt to throw it out. In an interview with The San Bernardino Sun, Daniel Kramer said of the ruling, “Despite the county’s attempts to dismiss and reduce the verdict as excessive, the court’s affirmation sends a clear message: no entity, no matter how powerful, is above the law. This is not just a win for my client but a resounding statement for all those who seek fairness and accountability from our legal system.”
